Cats don’t pant, they sweat through their paws. You might need to check your shoes… On second thought you’d better not.

My cat used to love to lie on the heat vents on top of my TV set (this was before flat screens). I measured the temperature there once, it was 100 F.

My dog does that, too. I’ll have him on the porch in the shade, and he’ll go lay in the grass in the sun. Go figure.
