The air-conditioners broken! It's too hot inside the house! Gee, guess you'll have to move yourself away from the TV, go outside and find something to do.
The highs here in Texas have been running at 100 degrees or more lately. If the air conditioner isn’t working, you go buy a window unit so you can live until the repairman arrives. You don’t go outside unless you are going to be in the shade. Most of the state is in drought, so you can’t use water to keep cool. Humans may die from the heat, but we must keep the Edwards Aquifer up to save the Texas Blind Salamander. The Federal government tells us that it is more important than human life.
