Gabby: What are you doing, Mr. D? Mr. D.: Trying to eat my lunch alone. Mr. D.: My lunch break's the only alone time I get during the day, and I really enjoy my alone time. Gabby: So, what will you be teaching us after lunch? Mr. D.: The definition of "alone."
I remember feeling this way when I was homeschooling my kids. So glad we moved their bedrooms to a different floor, and they would run there to play (recess) why I cooked lunch. I might have eaten with them, but enjoyed the peace & quiet while I was cooking.
