Wouldn’t Michael’s response be wonderful in the real world?

I wouldn’t want to mine or anyone else’s expiration date, but a label that tells you whether the person is good or should be avoided would be great!

What would that label say about you, Michael?

No, Micheal, you really don’t. Think about it, kid.

That’s not actually true. " Often the ‘best if used by,’ ‘sell by,’ and ‘use by’ designations are just manufacturers’ best guesses about how long their food will taste its freshest." Source: https://www.consumerreports.org/food-safety/how-to-tell-whether-expired-food-is-safe-to-eat/

Made some coffee from a can with a freshness date of “15 Sep 11” this morning. Way better than Navy coffee.

We do come with expiration dates, they are called birth certificates.

Just finished a gallon of milk last night (5/1/19) with a use by date of 4/18. Still smelled and tasted fresh. Don’t know why people waste good food just because of the date. If foods bad it’s going to smell and taste bad.

If all else fails, check with “the old man in the cave” (anyone?)

His long sleeves in Panel 1 became short sleeves in Panel 3. Is he expiring slowly?
