“If you judge a fish by its ability to climb a tree, it will live its whole life believing that it is stupid.” (Often, but mistakenly, attributed to Einstein.) Apparently, the latest findings are that fish can count. Who knew? Why would they need to? Who decided that counting was thing that should be important to fish? Can they REALLY count or do they simply perceive “more/bigger” or “less/fewer”? Sigh: another thing to google on my morning break from googling REALLY important stuff, such as who the hell told Alexander McCall Smith he was a decent writer????
Fish in a school learn from one another, which is why their behavior does not change for the better from generation to generation. A child in school should be exposed to stimuli otherwise unavailable, or undetected, so they CAN improve, not that they will improve.
What with run-away inflation and the number of children not wanting to go to school, is it time to bring back child labor? Those factories ain’t gonna run themselves ya know. /s

I can toss back a tequila shot, but I’ve never tried to toss back a fish. Seems unwholesome to me.

Your parent(s) needs a place to keep you while they’re working. AKA Kid warehousing.

Or fry them, broil, BBQ. It’s frowned on to do that to kids.

Teacher wears the same shirt every day. He better wash it or he’ll smell like a fish.
