Oh the awakening when I went to the beach with my first child. No more lounging in the sun! But it was worth it. We did not have any extra money, I was single and the father was not paying child support. I brought an old serving spoon, different sized plastic containers, to use as sand toys. I met another mom there, she said she just spent $$ for “sand bucket & toys”!
