It depends on the dog, and the human. But dogs, unless they’re mistreated, will love you unconditionally and that’s why he’s happy to see you.
We got back from a four-day trip on Sunday, around 11;30 pm. The dogs came charging down the stairs and it took us a half hour to calm them down so we could go to bed. Worth it.
Dogs are BETTER than humans! There is something to be said for unconditional love. ❤️
