Several years ago at certain times of the year, while working twelve hour shifts, it would be dark when I left for work and dark when I got home. My shifts were both during the day and at night in a windowless papermill. Good times!
There are two ways around that. Get up later in the day or go to bed earlier, but I don’t know why she would want to go to bed when it’s still light out.
I was waiting for my second bus this morning and whilst looking to the east found my myself thinking that it won’t be long till we see earlier sunrises. That will be worth the wait.

Given the positioning of the moon, I don’t understand why it’s dark out.

Nothing an hour – or better yet two! – of year-round Daylight Saving Time wouldn’t fix.

The sun is just clearing the horizon when I go to work and has long since set when I leave.
