Everytime I hear “No Problem” , I mentally start deducting from the tip. If their profession is to wait on someone, show respect. I always say please and thank you when talking to wait staff. I expect the same cordial response. It’s only being professional isn’t it?

When I worked customer service, I replied, “You’re welcome, and thank YOU.”

This is the reaction I got when I first heard “No Worries” instead of “No Problem” from someone after thanking them for something. Hard to catch up with the new slang as you get older I guess.
