Mom: Now don't eat all that junk in one day. You'll get sick like last year. Heart: I'm not, Mom. In fact, I'm putting these away! Mom: Putting them away for what? Heart: Because they're not ready yet! Oh, sure I could eat them now and they'd be fine... But in two weeks, they'll be perfect! See, once they air-dry a little, the outer sugar will become hard, not too hard, mind you, but just enough to creat a slight resistance to the bite. And the insides will still be soft, but the texture will have more bounce you can almost feel the air hiss out when you chew! Yes, a delicate mingling of sugary-crunch and sweet, springy foam. Mom: Oh, it looks like my little baby has grown up into quite the Easter candy connoissear! Where does time do?! sniff. Seems like just yesterday she was chewing on her doll's shoes... oh wait, that was yesterday. Heart: Laugh if you will, mom, but I take my Marshmallow choices very seriously.
I take marshmallow very seriously too…I don’t eat it unless it is toasted.
