Reality TV? Nothing on TV is “reality”. Those “reality” shows are so heavily edited for dramatic flow and viewer interest that what we see bears little resemblance to the original. Even the news, at best, shows highly condensed summaries of highly selective events. (And that’s if there’s no editorial bias to one side or the other.)
If you want reality, look in a mirror. Then look out the window. Everything else is someone else’s version of what reality ought to be. If you like it that way, great – that’s what art is all about – but don’t kid yourself about what it *is*.
