Mrs. Angelini: So, what, you're telling me I need to put my recipes on some computer in case I die?! Heart: Yeah.... Mrs. Angelini: No, thanks! I'd rather take my recipes to the grave than have some stunod mass produce them into a can! Heart: Even if that stunod was me?!

OK, I give. What’s a stunod?

Neither babelfish nor google translate I had a translation for this word. A Google search yielded an indication that it is a former Southern Italian or modern New Jersey term roughly meaning “stupidhead”.
Mythtickle caused me to Google the comics, and now it is spreading to heart, and I think she is reruns after Tatulli died mysteriously.

Then she should do a video blog so she can teach…kinda an Italian Julia Childs, more hits that way.

And I thought I knew something about Italian-American slang.
I Googled on “define:stunod” and found all I needed.

Tatulli’s fine, he’s just too busy counting his Lio money to spend any time with Heart.

Given the cartoonist’s surname, perhaps he didn’t realize how regional “stunod” is. Or perhaps he knew we’d get a good idea from the context and thereby learn a nice slang word.…In my own webcomic, I almost used “skrock” for saliva. When I looked up the spelling on Google, it turned out to have little use that way outside the Buffalo area. (My mom’s from there.)

I knew what it meant because I speak Italian, but I think you can get the idea from the context. You don’t have to know every word of what;s someone’s saying if you read carefully.
