Heart: A social studies project?! The teacher give us a social studies project with only one month of school left?! Dean: Well, I guess we have to do something. Heart: Then why can't we do the same classwork we always do this time of year? Dean: What classwork? Heart: Watching movies!
What a pity that with only a month left, the teachers are still trying to provide opportunities to learn. To hear the strip and the comment-writers tell it, the proper approach to education would be nine months of sedation followed by summer vacation, repeated until the child is reduced to a dysfunctional idiot. Why is it that Americans hate the brain and worship the body?
