but then a 40k a year job will be paying a 100k so it all averages out…..they wouldn’t charge a million for college ifit was COMPLETELY unaffordable for all……or are there holes in that argument?

No one says you have to break the bank for college. Work hard to save and get as many scholarships and grants as you can. Go to a community college or inside stare college and earn a four year degree in something you can make a living doing. Then if you still feel you need higher education pay for it as you go. No one is doing that these days.

About three years back, a man I knew at work told me about he and his wife having a son. The hospital and everything cost over four thousand dollars for the delivery. Pretty expensive to have a kid, I’d say. I don’t know what it would cost now.
