Stop talking to yourself, Heart. You already do enough of that in the real world.

when I hear a recording of my voice I think I sound like I am borderline mentally retarded as I talk very slowly, and my voice is very squeaky and still sounds likes its cracking from when I hit puberty.

I read somewhere that the reason we think recordings of our voice or pictures of us sound or look strange is because we are used to hearing our voice coming from inside us and the image of ourselves we are most used to is the one in the mirror.

Not really. I’m used to the voice that lives inside my head.

But, do you like your voice that lives outside your head? All my life, when I was talking to people on the phone, they thought I was a woman. Now, people say that I sound like my wife and vice versa.
