If I offer to bring dessert, I know that people do want something special, and it gives me an excuse to splurge too, so I buy a beutifully decorated cake, or flan, or cheesecake, from our local bakery, which is family owned and they make especially wonderful cakes with real ingredients, not from pre-made in large vats…
I have to say that I hate how Addy is being portrayed in the “new” Heart. Addy used to be one of the most admirable characters on the comic page: a hard-working single mother struggling to keep a roof over her head and raise her daughter, while letting her daughter enjoy an imagination-rich and full childhood. The one thing she wasn’t was the total moron that she is currently being portrayed as. Old Addy was brilliant. I miss her.
