Dear parents, you need to talk to your kids way earlier than you think. You need to talk to them, period (pun intended). Some kids can get their periods as young as 8 years old. They need to know whats going on and how to deal with it. Don’t make a big deal out of it, but have multiple casual talks on what is going to happen. I’m sure there are books and videos online too. Make sure they have a pad or two tucked away discreetly in their school backpack and show them how to use it. Just don’t let them have to deal with it mostly unprepared in the middle of a school day, please.

This might put a damper on the pool party.

As a guy, i don’t understand what this is. But i do understand that this would be kind of stressful.
