I don’t have any problems with drag queens volunteering at libraries and reading to children as part of a reading program and they are just another volunteer. However, I do have concerns about it being organized and publicized as “drag queen story hour”. I mean, if someone organized a hetero male in their 50’s reading hour and you had to be a single male in your 50’s to read to children, how many people would suddenly start screaming “pervert” and accusing of being pedophile shopping?
