In the ‘20s here in New Brunswick, Canada, as motor vehicles grew more popular, there was one day a year that people living along dirt roads would get together to repair the potholes. It was called Good Roads Day … a community event, finishing usually with a supper at the community/church hall.
The only reason a city punishes and restricts good citizens from doing the right thing is due to special interests and trying to hide their incompetence mishandling tax dollars.
I’d love to see one of those “Problem Solvers” local news stories explaining a bunch of preteen kids with less than $50 worth of hardware store available asphalt mix were able to solve what a bunch of overweight, overpaid union contractors can’t solve.
What her mom is going to turn her in to the police? And the judge is going to put a lil white girl in jail for doing something for the community? Some of her friends need to tell Heart how the world works.
That’s illegal, why?Because it shows that the streets department does not do its job well, that they are useless, because it shows that if you want things to be done well you have to do it yourself? What a concept of what is illegal

If this is how the city works, then there must have been a lot of arrests made over the years.

Okay, now I’m back to how did Hearts mom find out? And last time didn’t she take Hearts phone away? Ahh, if only the medium was a bit longer . . .

YOU won’t be going to jail. YOU will be going to juvenile hall. Your MOM might be going to jail.
However, you’ll probably just be slammed with a fine.
