Hello Neighbors,No, she absolutely won her medals by sacrificing time with her family, putting practice and homework above a social life, and with a work ethic rare in Americans of all ages these days. Not even going to mention the money spent or the taxes the goverment is going to charge her and other medal winners for their medals and prize money. If we take what Obama said IN CONTEXT, she did NOT build the gyms where she practiced, the equipment on which she practiced, the roads and bridges she took to those places of practice. She did not build/maintain/operate the power companies and water companies on which she depended, and she had little to do with those people and companies from whence her food, medicenes, and safety from dangerous products and people came. When Mr. Payne repeats the, “you didn’t build that” line, he diminishes the efforts of all of those people upon whose shoulders we ALL ride. The use of this statement is as wrong as Harry Reid’s dishonorable and unethical accusation against Romney. As neighbors and UNITED States, we should speak up against lies- even when they support our own goals and candidates. Our Olympians earned their medals all by themselves. Our people provided the environment and infrastructure in which the olympians could train and practice in safety and confidence. Now its time to build a country where we can work together in friendship and as the UNITED States of America.Respectfully,C
