Is this the origin of “Chickenman”? And his parents?
See: Armed Forces Radio in the Vietnam era.
When the program came on everyone would shout out his call. “Chicken sound”, that I cant approximate here but sounded like "pook, pook, pook paa! and then "he’s everywhere, he’s everywhere.
It was funny but I suppose that you just had to be there.
Being a ex NAM vet I remembered Chickenman was hilarious. It was mostly reruns but since I had never heard it before I just ate it up. And Charlie better not launch an attack while Chickenman was on. We would get serious PO’d. It was the names of the characters we found hilarious, the Hummer, the Choker, the Masked Mother. Now think about it. In a “dirtier” mind.
I don’t remember Chickenman; my favorite, and I miss it, was always Duckman. And, pshearer, nobody does kapporot at a wedding. Unless they get married the day before YK.
