Well I have to say that no tech was berry-berry good to me ! You will be surprised how many so called "smart hi-tech people " don’t know how to fix simple(to me) things ! Like changing disc brakes or what a p-trap is or know anything about their heating systems or what to do when a light comes on on their dashboard or tie their shoes ect-ect-ect ! hahahaha
@What? Me Worried? and VTX1800F:I have great respect for those with your skill sets as I am about as un-handy as you can get. But don’t be too smug about it or start feeling superior to folks like me because you have those skills. I am happy to pay a fair price for a skilled person to do, quickly and correctly, what I cannot. But I have skills you likely do not possess too. I’m a retired banker. I had a customer whose canceled check, payable to the IRS, was not accepted as proof of payment by the IRS because their endorsement on the back was not visible. Would you have known how to go about proving that the IRS did in fact receive the proceeds of that check? Would you know how to spot someone setting up a fraud scheme by reviewing account activity reports? I did both of those things, saving both my customer, and on a number of occasions my employer, substantial amounts of money. And BTW What?, the abbreviation you want is etc. It is the short version of the Latin “et cetera.”
“Getting a good paying job depends as much on your parents contacts and skill set as on your education.”.Restated, Getting a good paying job depends as much on your education as on your parents contacts and skill set..Not perfectWas that supposed to be “parents’ contacts and skill set” or “parents, contacts, and skill set”?.Not getting an education or job skills means your parent’s can’t help you too much.Of course, an education includes skill set, skill set includes education. .If your parents’ contacts are all in the field of finance and your skills involve non-finance related matters, those contacts won’t help much.If your parents’ contacts involve growing high quality pharmaceuticals and the market is overcrowded, even if you are also good at such agriculture, you may not break into the business.
By the way, jobs open up as people die, retire or quit.I’ve had several where the previous driver said she would quit if she had to carry those middle schoolers another day.Another where the driver died at 4:15 AM and the children needed to be picked up starting at 6:30. She was a friend of mine, too.

Unassailable logic. You can’t get a job without experience, and you can’t get experience without a job.
