Shortly before retirement, I was asked by a young executive why I tended to prefer middle aged and senior employees. My reasons were very simple:
!) They usually had been taught a good work ethic2) They could add, subtract, multiply and divide.3) They could form a simple declarative sentences and spell words correctly.4) They could relate face to face with people, rather than relying on text messaging.5) They didn’t require constant supervision6) They didn’t expect lavish praise for doing what was expected of them.7) They showed up for work to work !
