Looks like the dog is wearing a saddle.

DOWN, Sigmund, DOWN.

He’s reading his mood. Dogs can show exceptional empathy for someone who is upset. Have seen that over the years, where a dog will concentrate on the member of a group who is telling something that obviously concerns him/herself. Dog sits with eyes fixed, nose pulsing to pick up the scents of tension and anxiety. And sometimes it will do exactly as depicted and sit as close as possible.

Here’s an oddball question (what a coincidence) about therapy dogs. Does tooth brushing comprise any part of the dog’s training?

That seems nice. I don’t like it though, when someone (or some dog) just gets right up in your face.

When our dogs would stick their noses in our faces, they weren’t asking to be petted, they were checking our breath to see if we’d had cookies or fries…

Answer him — if you know what’s good for you.

He is a nosy dog.

By smelling your breath & your bottom they can tell what you’ve been eating. If it’s not dog, you may be a friend (or food, we’ll see). Most critters know this language, humans got too hoitytoity.
