Ralston: Hey, Cap, have a seat. Do you play chess? Captain Victorious: No. Ralston: Good. I want to test a hypothesis. You never lose at anything right? Captain: sure. Ralston: But you have no idea how to play chess, and even if you did, there's no way you could possibly outwit me. So I just want to see what will happen when you finally lose at something. I mean, will the world end? Will time stop? Will the fabric of reality rend itself apart? Of course not! I just want to show that you can lose like any other - How do you do that!? Captain: I don't know. I wasn't really paying attention...
I did that once. A friend wanted to play chess while I was eating dinner and paying attention to other people. He thought carefully about his moves. I made my moves rather absent-mindedly. I won. I don’t know how, either.
