    Wonder Woman, Wonder Woman, Power Girl, Wonder Woman…a bunch of different characters, though neither Wondie nor Peeg has ever gotten that one.

    Maybe it’s because I inked and later wrote comic books, but I completely loathe “reenvisioning” of heroes and new origins.

    After awhile the editors feel that the character has become “stale” or something like that, perhaps sales start to slip a little. So the character is remade to be whatever the current buzzword shows as being popular. They must be “edgy” and “bold”. Oh yeah, and if the character was originally a white male, then they must be “re-imagined” as Hispanic/Black, female, homosexual, or preferably all of the above.
