jenn erica: Hey, tyr, why is there an arrow on your gauntlet? Tyr: It's not an arrow, it's a norse rune! It represents me, the norse god of war! Equivalent to your letter "T", it is called "twaz" and it stands for honor and bravery! It is my sigil and I wear it proudly!! Jenn erica: so it's just coincidence that it points right to your biceps? Tyr: What, these things?

And now I’m wondering if there’s a hero who wears an arrow on his chest that points to his junk.

Actually, notice in the first panel, that the rune looks like a T (more or less), so it would be understood by rune readers facing Tyr. If it faced the other way, what would they interpret it as. So girly’s pointing is all wrong.

Gauntlets are gloves. The things on Tyr’s arms don’t cover his hands. There’s probably some specific name for what they are, but all I can find is “forearm armor.”
