some of those ball players’ enormous salaries is the same as picking the pockets of the paying customers when the ball club owners jack up the admission to pay for them

nighthawks: And most don’t. The owners set the salary and the ticket prices, but the players get the blame. They only have 3-10 years to make most of the money they will make for the rest of their lives. They sacrificed an education for the chance few of them will get. Meanwhile, the owners are stashing it away in offshore accounts and blackmailing cities to build them a new stadium or they will leave.

That’s one of the greatest pick-off moves I’ve ever seen…

I admire comics without words, it takes a special kind of writer to pull that off – to tell a good story without words.
