A man makes a call after reading about the ATT and Time Warner merger. Phone: Your call is important to us... but maybe not as important as this merger. Please continue to hold...
I will say this about AT&T. They do answer the phone and they speak understandable English. Also if you have a routine problem, they are pretty good about getting it resolved. On the other hand, their technical support is very hit and miss – in some areas, I know more about their system than their techs do.
Like most multinational corporations, their goal is the G.U.M. up the works. (For those too young or amnesiac to remember, G.U.M. was the Soviet monopoly store notorious for long lines and empty shelves.)

When all these companies merge, hold time will be the least of our issues. At least someone at the top will get very very rich off of this.

I hope the SEC prevents this purchase/merger.

P.S. I’ve had Time Warner – their customer service is about the worst I’ve ever experienced.

Of course customer service will take a hit. They’ll have to cut whatever is unimportant to cover that $85B hit.
