He walks off the street and into a job? He must be the Magical Man from Happy-Land, who lives in a gumdrop house on Lollipop Lane!

Son graduated from UNC in 2010. Working PT at Grocery store. Several friends still in similar situations. – After working several PR jobs (some at the same time which made the computer systems think I didn’t keep a job long!!) I finally have a job as a Training Supervisor. Two Masters, 61 yrs old, 13 years in USAF and making 32K!! – Wife got a PhD from Duke in 2012, still looking.

Oh, dear. She’s “overqualified.” I was once, but had two M. A.‘s instead of a Ph. D., and no longer had a recent work history. Finally got a job with the FL gummint, who based hiring on a State test back in the 70’s.

Also, I was about to become an “older worker” at age 45.

I’m guessing he’ll be Santa.

[furry-faced grin] Wonderful comic Robb!!! Very real!++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++I am so glad this is continuing onto the daily comics (and not just the Sunday strip). I think this will be exceptionally fun, and I always enjoy the story arcs where Joe’s Dad is featured!!!
