I don’t like the environmentalist view (not the concept of environmentalism, just this particular type) that nature is a separate thing from us that we shouldn’t be touching, like the Earth is some giant museum piece. It’s kind of a weird self depreciating narcissism, like we humans are some special unique thing, but literally everything else is better than us.

The problem is, for a lot of them, their business is biting me.
