    Back when they had the 50th Super Bowl, they ditched the Roman numerals and just called it Super Bowl 50. They thought that Super Bowl L would be confusing.

    The Romans numbering system was an improvement on using fingers and toes to count, and a step along the way to a the Arabic numbering system.

    Ironically enough, the Arabic numbering system was developed in India. It’s called Arabian because Arabs were the ones that spread it throught the civilized world.
