We all speak at least one bahasa.“Kind of the touristy phrases”Nah, a little more than that albeit not fluent. Conversational Indonesian, as mentioned by Indonesia’s president. I imagine his grasp of the Indonesian language may be immature since he left Indonesia as a child aged 10 and lacks its intricacies, but had a good grounding in the language for at least 4 years. As such, he lays no claim to being bilingual but Indonesians seem delighted in his passable Indonesian.
