People also got raises for working hard, and 2 week vacations. The wealthy lived quite well; the expensive cars, houses, they had swimming pools , mink coats, diamonds, the finest food, they were happy.Then greed took over. their tax rate has plummeted for the wealthy, they got into politics, stopped being philanthropists, stopped giving raises and now the very top, the 1% of the 1% buy politicians. They stopped caring about the common good which was considered your, Christian,duty to support a strong government and expected it to take care of highways, bridges, dams, national parks, and got social Security so the old didn’t have to end their lives in poverty. Now the pretend news outlet Their name starts with F,,has been telling lies so that people fear and hate the government.things became privatized,( at least it wasn’t the scary USA government) and the big rich corporations are laughing all the way to the bank..Owners like the Koch brothers, corporations like Monsanto, just to name two, have said they like to buy congress, and the others.If we don’t keep the party of the rich, buy the rich and for the rich Only,, we have fascism.
