Could’ve been worse: the leaves attacking Lio’s father. (I don’t know Latin. So what did the leaf say?)

Same thing Booth shouted when he killed Lincoln “Thus die all tyrants” I think

It’s an old phrase, it didn’t originate with Booth, although that’s probably its best known use.

I wonder if Booth wasn’t thinking of Julius Caesar. He had played both Brutus and Cassius many times.

Sic semper tyrannis is a Latin phrase meaning “thus always to tyrants”. It is a shortened version of the phrase “Sic semper evello mortem tyrannis” (“Thus always I bring death to tyrants”).

That “character” is the tree, not Lĭo.

—In which we learn: never carry your Leaf Mulcher 9000 into a forest of rebellious leaves!

What would Walt Whitman have made of that conjunction?

It’s not like Lio were playing in a pile of leaves, we must realize. These are more like poltergeist leaves or zombie leaves, leaves of which Lio can never be rid!

Hope the leaf didn’t break it’s leg when it jumped!
