But…But…But…Drumpf PROMISED that HIS Health Insurance plan would be BEAUTIFUL!! It would be the BEST and the CHEAPEST plan EVER! it would be YUGE, that EVERYONE would have coverage and it would be SO CHEAP!! You don’t think that he was LYING, and MAKING IT ALL UP, do you??
If Politicians weren’t so in the pockets of the AMA and big Pharma, we would have had a single payer system by now. However even if that comes to past the population will bitch and moan about it because no one want’s to pay for it.
It would be in better shape if the administration hadn’t taken the money meant for informing the public about the ACA and their choices and used it, instead, for running a social media campaign against the ACA.
Hard to remember that when Obama first proposed healthcare for America the only way he could get it through Congress was allowing the Republicans to tack on every manner of BS amendments that they hoped would make him back out of pushing through an affordable Healthcare act. Obama’s original plan was a single Payer plan but the Republicans changed all that because they wouldn’t be able to pay their masters. What they morphed it into was the only thing that they would let pass.
In a tiny hopeful corner of my heart, I’m hoping that McCain will fight for a single-payer insurance. Maybe a lower cost copay that will help keep medical costs down. Or maybe he’ll fight for a universal Cadillac insurance for all of us. If other countries can have insurance for everyone why not us?
TXGAL, Congress health insurance IS under the ACA; they get it through the exchanges. They are subsidized, just like many employer plans. This amendment was put in by Chuck Grassley, thinking this would discourage the Dems but they embraced this option. So much for the lie about Repubs not being able to participate in working on ACA.
Lisa Benson, this must be a difficult time for you. Please take comfort in the knowledge that your party still wants to harm and kill the elderly, sick, and poor. Give them a little time and you will be back to oppression, repression, and fear-mongering.

The whole GOP is going to “implode then explode”. Note the hand gestures.

John McCain is my hero. He seems to be one of the only senators with half a brain and the balls to use it.

Congress admits they don’t have a replacement, and it looks as if they are finally getting the idea their political career will end if the ACA does.
Of course, they MAY get reelected. Jimmy Hoffa still gets an occasional vote.

Remember something the next time you vote; Voting is like driving. You choose “R” to go backward, but you choose “D” to go FORWARD!
