I can’t decide if the big black mark in panel is an ink smudge from the printing, I think maybe it is. Most of MaCay’s work was destroyed in a fire, and mostly all we have left are actual copies of the extant comic papers.
I had to look up the county Flip was referring to (panel 7). I guess he couldn’t pronounce it (Cuyahoga – a Mohawk name for crooked river) although it isn’t that difficult (kai-yah-hó-ga)
