Gone are the days of hurling ballistic objects at one another….

Along with refrigerators and freezers that actually latched so you knew they were shut instead of the magnets which allow the door to be slightly ajar and garage door openers without the electronic eye that automatically reverses for every little leaf or spider web that occludes it beam.

I have a set. Being sane we stand on the same side when tossing. Walking back and forth is good exercise and much safer.

Can’t find those for sale anywhere, but guns you can buy just about everywhere…

Lawn darts were fun if you were careful and used common sense. It can also weed out the Darwin’s.

I told a teenager about them, what they were made of and what we did with them and she did not believe me. “No one would sell something that dangerous!”

Jeff Foxworthy commented that if you get under one of those, you’re getting coloring books for Christmas for the rest of your life.

I realize that this was an attempt at humor. Still, IIRC, there were only 3 or 4 deaths from years of laying lawn darts. A father of one of the kids that dies is the one who was able to get them banned. I’m empathetic with his grief, but would he ban motor vehicles if his child was killed by a car? I doubt it.

Uh, I don’t think I really want to know, but what are(were) lawn darts? : )

These were so much fun! My husband and I played Jarts with my parents long ago. That was back in the day of common sense. No one got hurt or even came close. My dad was a lefty and a ringer. Great memories : )

Probably could get a fortune for it on E Bay…..

I see they still have cars that kill people every minute.

Yeah, it’s the manufacturers fault people were stupid enough to throw those at each other. F-cking lawyers.
