I’d hate to see what WD-1 through WD-38 were like.

Its supposed to do that. At least after it goes through your carburetor.

In a way, it’s right, just over done. WD stands for Water Displacement, so setting fire to something is the ultimate displacement of moisture. Imagine how bad this would have been if they had been going for an underarm deodorant.

WD-40 makes a great flamethrower, too. I hear hair spray is as good, but don’t happen to have any to use in an exhaustive series of scientific tests (ahem) as I did with WD-40. When my grandson is a bit older, I will teach him yet another grandpa trick. Don’t want him burning anything down.

They had similar problems with Formula 408.

I heard there was a guy working for a company called Universal Products trying to come up with a new soft drink. He started out and called his first taste trial 1-U.P.; unfortunately, he threw up his hands in disgust when after six different trials, nobody liked the taste of his product…
