Wow! It IS Shannon! (8+O

Wait a moment. This child is Shannon?

Or maybe another child with the same name.

Early strips with Shannon were not consistent. First she showed up here. Later she was briefly Toni’s cousin before becoming her niece.

So it is Shannon. Is this how we meet Toni? Maybe Brad has his sister to thank for his meeting Toni since it was her babysitting Lindy and Shannon that brought it about.

Isn’t Luann supposed to be 13 years old here? If Shannon is four years old here, why is she still four years old when Luann is 18/19 ? And I thought Shannon was Jonah‘s daughter? And where did the little brother come from? As Ricky Ricardo would say: “GnK, you gots some splainin’ to do!”

The scary thing is Shannon, that last panel is like me now……..

Interesting. I didn’t know Luann knew Shannon from way back. Wonder what happened to Lindy, though.

With all the contemplations whether or not this is “the” Shannon. I think a black haired girl with straight bangs named Shannon was Greg’s “Generic Brat Girl” default. And when he needed a brat girl of that age as Toni’s cousin/niece, he merely used the “Shannon” template, hoping that his valued readers would have forgotten about her.

So they retconned the new Shannon?

It’s ok, Shannon. Accidents happen…even with older kids.

And today, Shannon is still seven years old. The wonders of endless childhood…
