This is when a teacher has to ask him/herself, does this student do consistent work? Is this the first time she failed to turn in an assignment? But if she often fails to turn in things, you’re on solid ground.

So the question here is this: Is her work consistent? How many assignments are missing or late? Is her work spotty?

But I think she might have actually done it this time

Reading this makes me so angry for Luann!This is one of those moments where I really hate Fogarty!What is it with every teacher at Pitts School being abusive and mean?What is it with comic strip teachers being abusive and mean for that matter?Miss Honey would’ve never treated Matilda Wormwood like this.Mr. Feeney would’ve never treated Cory Matthews like this.

If Fogarty was going to talk to Luann like this, here’s what he might as well have said:“I hate you Luann. You are a terrible student and I have no love or respect for you. Now get out of my classroom, out of my school, and out of my life. GET OUT! NOW!”At least he would’ve been honest with her.No wonder she hated school.

In 8th Grade (back in the Jurassic) a couple of Mean Girls would make other students’ homework “disappear” on its way up to the teacher’s desk. I started making carbon copies of mine, and after a “Well who would have taken it?” inquiry, the problem went away.
