Miss Phelps escorts Luann out of her office. The sign outside reads, "Miss Phelps - School Counselor - I am now:". and the little tag below reads, "In." Miss Phelps says, "As soon as I gave up boys, the world opened to me. And it will for you, too, Luann." Miss Phelps calls after Luann, who is now gone. She yells, "Shed the shackles of male dependency! Freedom makes you strong and -". She is interrupted by an offpanel voice: "Miss Phelps?" Mr. Fogarty approaches Miss Phelps, who turns and says, "Oh! Mr. Fogarty!" He says, "May I come in?" She gestures to her office, saying, "Please." As they enter her office, Miss Phelps changes the little tag on her sign to read, "Out."
