And #2 — that Hollywood has completely run out of shallow, big-boobed blondes with no talent.

I am taken with Crystal more and more every day! She manages to put Tiff in her place while deftly remaining her friend. For Tiffany, I feel some pity; she is so impressed with her carefully manufactured self-image that she can see little else most of the time.

Nice to see Tiffany in an unguarded moment. She is genuine in her excitement about the possibilities. Which is normal for a HS student. Too bad her “friend” can’t get it.

I’m with Dogsniff. I think the movie would have to be in like 4-D or 5-D for Tiff to “stand out” in any meaningful way.

Have any of you noticed that Tiffany’s only holding up 2 fingers when she says 3-D? Haha, oh Tiff…I suppose she could be referring to the “and number two:” statement. But I prefer to think that she’s just as much of a bimbo that we all know her to be.

It’d be satisfying to see Tiffany get the future she deserves, and that we all know she is going to get, but… this ‘toon isn’t written in a Navy port setting, and this is a family oriented ’toon.

“…how logical your argument…” or lack thereof. Crystal can use sarcasm with Tiffany and she’ll get no response. Because there’s no recognition. The lights are on, but the resident is out buying more mirrors.

This sounds like another Elwood scam, like the phony engagement ring he gave to Luann.

The “logic” may be that most 3D movies are pretty lame otherwise. Which fits Tiffany’s talent.

dogsniff: I would like to know the rules too. It is hard to follow comments on a deleted post. It is also hard to know why one of my rather bland elaborations on a previous comment was deleted (a couple weeks ago).

If it was an Elwood plot, he would not have rebuffed her at the outset for the lead.

Really, you’re like someone who wanders into a room, whizzes on the carpet and then complains loudly and at length as he’s being ejected that no one told him the “rules”.

I’m sure this is not the only forum you’ve ever posted on, and I’m sure you know that forums vary according to their readership. Some are cool and edgy, some are not. Onthis board, some stuff flies depending on how big the stick is up the you-know-what of the oldest/stuffiest posters on the board on any given day. Some people will flag anything that sounds remotely sexual. Some won’t.

    Deal with it.

But if you constantly call attention to how not-outrageous and not-extreme your remarks were before they were unfairly deleted, your next ones have a guaranteed target on them. If you’re here for unwanted attention, well, you have it.

So, just asking – why are you here?

Crystal and Tiffany work when it comes to things like make-up, clothes, and to some degree boys. My take is that Crystal and Knute occupy the HS hinterland of freaks and loners, that Tiffany occasionally resides in, precisely because of her delusions.

Everybody’s gotta start somewhere. Besides, if Tiff goes off to Hollywood and becomes a big star, they wouldn’t have to deal with her anymore.

Lot’s of questions here. Why does Tiff believe she has the lead when she is so unqualified? Elwood seemed to be explaining that to her. He DID, however, tell her about the movie, so he must intend on her being involved in it. Does he also intend to visit Luann? How much is he investing in the movie? Who’s writing the script?

GenX sure has a lock on making talentless people stars so Tiff should have no problem.

dogsniff & critics: It still doesn’t explain why poor lil innocent I gets blocked about once a week or that the responses to dogsniff stay in while his context for them gets removed. Let it stay and let the readers attack (as has been done without any context to provide meaning for the comments), or else delete the rebuttals as well and let those come back and comment on something that does remain, if they so choose.

Hey, one person’s whizz is another person’s vital irrigation – my point is that it’s all subjective.

I completely agree with you that your post was pretty PG – I didn’t find it offensive, but because the site is policed by whatever posters are reading at any given time, to ask for “rules” is sort of a waste of time because the goal lines aren’’t fixed – they keep moving.

There are trolls that flag your posts, there are vigilantly humorless poops who are on family patrol who do the same at the slightest borderline offensive remark, so what can you do? If someone flags your post and kicks it to the curb, come back again with something else. If all you do is get deleted, it’s up to you whether it’s worthwhile to post at all for the few people who get to read it. You can try to be the resident bad boy, but I think it’ll prolly get old for you. There are other strips, like PBS, that would definitely appreciate you, and some like Family Circus that will hunt you down and burn you at the stake. It’s all up to you as to how much of a kick you get out of poking people in the eye!

I’m not gonna get too explicit because trolls get ideas, but believe me when I tell you no one in gocomics admin even looks at your post before it gets deleted – the system is automatic, so don’t waste your time wondering how you offended. (FYI, they tell me it’s really your breath. ;D)
