Luann by Greg Evans and Karen Evans for March 10, 2013
Transcript:
Bernice: "I see you turned your clock ahead" Luann: "Yup. Lost an hour" Bernice: "This says an entomologists in New Zealand first proposed daylight saving time in 1895 so he could have more daytime to collect specimens" Luann: "Entomologist? What's that?" Bernice: "Someone who studies insects" Luann: "So zillions of people turn their clocks because some kiwi bug-nut invented daylight savings time?" Bernice: "Did you notice- I say 'daylight saving time,' using 'saving' as an adjective, like 'cost-saving measure.' You say 'savings,' as in 'savings account.' Interesting, huh?" Luann: "Clearly we're not missing the hour"
DST is a pointless scam. Give me standard time year-round!
