Mom: "Have you been thinking about that warehouse?"
Dad: "Oh, a little. I mean, my job's fine, but it's not... fulfilling"
Dad: "Maybe we'd both enjoy a new adventure, y'know?"
Mom: "Well, no harm in talking about it sometime"
Dad: "Would now be good?"

Might as well have produced an “infomercial” on Public Access for her, Frank…. – I’m still personally surmising that the Warehouse would be a place that would be a bit… convenient…for different kinds of events…oh, say, like for plays…or business gatherings…or… weddings…

See I thought this would end up being how Toni and Brad would have their wedding. The Warehouse would be the space, TJ would cater, Gunther would make the outfits, Quill and his theater friends would make the entertainment, and Bernie’s roommate Dez would officiate. Affordable yet still memorable.

One has to wonder how managing a “warehouse” would seem “more fulfilling…” Than anything…
Linda Pearson over 9 years ago
Might be fulfilling IF you owned the warehouse. maybe.

It may be that Frank has not yet consummated the deal with TJ for the warehouse. If so, then there is still time for Nancy to talk him out of it! Go, Nancy!

You must be in NY; in Atlanta, it’s 7:42. But, thanks!

Thanks! According to Chabad, for those of us living around Central Florida, sunset is 7:44 pm (but candle lighting time for Shabbat is 7:26 pm.) I’m not an expert on any of this, so I take their word for it…

And I ask you – who among us has not at some time or other dreamed of owning a warehouse? You are our hero, Frank.

Here’s the scoop on the problems Frank may face. (it’s a cartoon, I know.) Fire problems and construction. Not much because warehouses have been built the same way for a long time. Poured in place concrete with lam beams holding it together and an overhead fire suppression system. More toilets would be necessary in all probability.
The real problem comes with zoning. The neighbors might not want noisy parties as neighbors. The parking requirements for industrial are much less than commercial. Commercial usually requires 3:1. A 10,000 sq ft building needs 30,000 sq. ft parking or 100 spaces. It’s been a while since I retired but at that time Frank would be looking at $120 a sq. ft. With a commercial zone probably more,
Did some checking there is a an industrial site near me for sale vacant at $1,250,000 per acre.I case you didn’t figure it out I was a C/I real estate appraiser.

Good for Daad! He had a plan for his plan.(But how was he holding it in the first frame, when his arms were at his side?)

Ladies and gentlemen, what we have here is a genuine MID LIFE CRISIS. Don’t be surprised if Frank recruits a 27 year old girl to be his “project assistant.”

Wow, I’m surprised that no one has been “ga ga” over baseball’s opening day soon arriving…even if one doesn’t love the sport, at least it’s an indication that it’s “winter’s last stand”!
