Dad: So did Toni say anything about starting a family? Mom: They plan to wait a bit. But they want kids. Baby: hehehehehe Brad: Thanks for watchin' the twins again, mom! Dad: Well, I'm ready. Mom: I'm not.
I always find this phrase “start a family” seems weird. If you have any relatives at all, you are already part of a family that started a long time ago. Why not just say “have children”?
