When I was a kid my family lived in a neighborhood in Oakland, CA called Montclair. In “Cheaper by the Dozen,” which I read in that house, the mother grew up in what’s now called West Oakland but as an adult mother of 12 lived in New Jersey, near Montclair. I thought that was weird when I was 8.
