    Reference to “Tron”. It was “ground-breaking” when production started. By the time it was finished, the ponderous “2001”-style science fiction had been completely supplanted by “Star Wars” and its imitators. Consequently, the movie did not do as well as Disney expected.

    The film did receive critical acclaim especially for special effects. According to Wikipedia, the Motion Picture Academy refuse to nominate the effects because, at the time, use of computers was considered “cheating”. Yep.

    Never did like either movie. If there was the character “Tron”, there should have also been the character “Troff”. :D :D :D
