A Lutheran pastor in Rochester, MN firmly believes a Black Lab is waiting for him in heaven. The Bible is silent on the matter, so who’s to say he’s wrong? Mom’s probably reunited with our family Black Lab. Pixel probably rode her again, and taught my other cats how it’s done. Knowing Pax, she probably let them.

I guess the pastor never heard of hellhounds? Marmaduke gets into so much trouble, he needs some encouragement to behave. Because I’m sure Heaven would make exceptions like Poncho from Pooch Cafe (that dog is evil incarnate).But seriously, Heaven is suppose to be the best place in existence, and if there’s no plants and animals in it, it wouldn’t really be that great now would it?

Depends on what version of religion you believe in. Roman Catholics, for instance, believe that Heaven is only for humans, and dogs do not go there. I’ve heard that from a couple of different Catholic priests, one of whom was an avid dog lover. I think Heaven is whatever you think it is or need it to be. If I believed in Heaven at all, it would be full of animals.
