No, it would be a really great series of books with no Jamie. Claire is presented as a hero that no woman wouldn’t wish she could emulate. But An Echo in the Bone and Written in my own Heart’s Blood both involve too much of Lord John Grey, bringing the two series together. If you haven’t read that series and don’t want to, it’s kind of a drag to read all the bringing up to date stuff.

It was there.I knew a woman who got raped.The guy who did it also had two Buddies who provided him with an Alibi for the night in question.Then Contradicted their own testimony by claiming that they’d witnessed her Accepting Money for the act that same night..The CO hearing all the conflicting lies from these 3 guys decided to punt and go with the “Well, She’s a Lesbian, so she deserved it” argument.IOW, he threw the Victim Out of the service with a Bad Conduct Discharge so he wouldn’t have to deal with it..
